Be part of a community, not just a company

Are you passionate about making a difference in the community?  If so, you’ve come to the right place.  TASC offers rewarding employment, volunteer and student placement opportunities for people with a heart for human rights, legal and social advocacy issues.

TASC is driven by a vision of “Social Justice For All”, and having a genuine impact on the lives of people we support.   We assist people who may not otherwise have access to legal or advocacy services.  This may be for financial reasons, or because there are no services within reach.

TASC’s legal and advocacy services are available across a large area in Queensland.  We have offices in Toowoomba, Ipswich and Roma, and support people through outreach across rural and regional areas in South West Queensland, the Darling Downs, Maranoa and West Moreton.

Our focus is on going the extra mile to give people in our broad catchment area access to high quality and empathetic support.

Is your focus on supporting people in need of access to free, compassionate legal and advocacy support?  Do you want to work within a dedicated and talented team while supporting the community to benefit from your skills, talent and passion for social justice?  Then consider TASC.

Are you TASC’s next amazing Tenancy Advocate?

Bring your skills, experience and passion for helping people to this fantastic opportunity.  The QSTARS service, or Queensland Statewide Tenancy and Referral Service, is funded by Tenants Queensland.  It supports renters across Queensland to understand and act on their rights and responsibilities as tenants.

As a Tenancy Advocate with TASC, you will help people solve problems. You’ll provide advice, referrals and information on topics like bond disputes, potential eviction and Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal hearings.

You’ll be helping people in Toowoomba and surrounding areas with advice they need, when they need it. Our Advocates are well-respected and valued by the people they support, with comments like “they have restored my faith in people!” coming in TASC us as feedback!

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, committed and passionate team member who wants a chance to make a difference.  In this role, interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills are really important, and so are organisational skills and the ability to self-manage your workload.

Applications close on Friday 30 October, so if you’re our next “QSTARS All-Star”, head to SEEK and apply!
