TASC help people who don’t have the financial means to gain access to justice.  But there is always more we can do, and more people we can help.

In 2017, Community Legal Centres Queensland estimated that 50% of the people who qualify for help at a community legal centre like TASC are turned away.

TASC is funded by federal and state governments to deliver core services and we raise additional funds through grants, donations, and fundraising activities.  We gratefully receive donations to support our service delivery and special projects.  We are a registered charity with deductible gift recipient (DGR) status, and donations over $2 are tax-deductible.

TASC provides legal and social justice support to people from a range of circumstances and cultures. When you support TASC through donating you are supporting:

  • People in vulnerable situations, people in financial hardship, people with intellectual disability, individuals with mental illness and people with acquired brain injury, people facing domestic and family violence and elder abuse
  • Everyday people, mums and dads, pensioners and grandparents, small business owners, people renting in Queensland who are looking for support and a fair go
  • People with extra barriers to getting legal and social work support, like people in regional, rural and remote members communities in the South West of Queensland; members of multicultural communities and the First Nations peoples we serve.

It sounds like a lot of people to help.  And it is.  TASC supports 2,000 people a year, and we would like to help even more.  Please consider donating to us so we can keep assisting people in your community to protect their legal and human rights and freedoms.

If you have any enquiries about donations or want to talk to someone in TASC about how you can contribute, please call us on (07) 4616 9700.
